Let them win. Let Andy Burnham take his little by-election. Let Labour keep tearing at what’s left of this country its history, its borders, its sense of itself. The British people won’t wake up while they still have something to lose. They’ll only stir once their identity has been stripped, their culture diluted, and their freedom reduced to a memory. And when that day finally comes… they won’t be looking for the ones who warned them. They’ll be looking for the ones who were ready.
